Hello international students and friends!

You are invited to join the International Friendship Connection (IFC) at our 13th annual Farm visit, Hayride and Country Dance on Sunday, September 5, 5pm – 9:30pm. (No Class Monday, September 6 – American Labor Day Holiday)

Hayride

This event will be an excellent way for you to have fun, meet new friends and experience an Iowa tradition.

Join us for a fun, relaxing time as we ride on hay in wagons pulled by farm tractors, sing songs, and introduce you to some new friends from around the world. Watch the sun set over the Iowa landscape as you travel down the country roads, and enjoy fun on an Iowa farm. Activities include volleyball, raspberry and apple picking, hot dog roasting, trampoline jumping, horse riding for children, and we will teach you new songs and how to country dance! There will also be games and prizes… and we will explain how you can join an International Friendship Connection “Family Group”. You don’t want to miss this special fall semester event!

Cost: Just $2.00. Children are free.

Need a ride? Rides will be provided from two locations: University Village Laundromat at 4:30 PM and the West side of the Memorial Union (Lake Laverne side) at 4:30pm . We will take you to a farm just north of Ames. We will bring you back to these locations at 9:30pm. You can also drive to the farm.
