A Brief History of IFC

The International Friendship Connection began in 1996 as a result of Jack Owens' experience as a "foreigner" in South Korea. Jack remembered the difficulties of being in a different country and adapting to a completely new culture. He also remembered the many kind and generous friends who had helped him and loved him during the years he was living overseas. After returning to Iowa, Jack wanted to do the same for internationals here in Ames! Jack is the current leader of the International Friendship Connection.
